Drawing and Pattern Development - Watercolour Workshop

This workshop runs as a follow on from the monthly online 'Drawing and Pattern Development' Workshop.

Observing everyday objects as a starting point to find lines and shapes, we will use this knowledge and insight to further explore our understanding of watercolour paints, as well as use watercolours to further develop our drawings with a focus on line, shape, space and pattern. The focus will be on process rather than outcome in this one hour workshop.

The workshop will be hosted by Phoebe Moss. Phoebe is an Artist with a Textiles background and currently works in secondary education. She is interested in the holistic benefits of visual arts. Her background in Textiles has lead to the discovery and appreciation of Pattern, this has lead to an interest in the broad, cross disciplinary and both creative and methodical way of exploring subjects.

For this workshop you will need the following equipment:

-Several sheets of plain paper (slightly heavier weighted paper works best, but photocopy paper would be fine too).

-Watercolour paints.

-Water

-Paintbrush

-An object to work from

-Tissue/toilet roll or piece of light weight fabric
