Draw a Kingfisher in Colored Pencil

Tuition: $275. Includes 2 sessions.
DATE: Sat. , Nov. 7 and Sun., Nov. 8 from 9 AM - 3 PM
Learn how to layer colored pencils to achieve realism and depth. We will draw together from a provided photograph, with the instructor working alongside students. We will discuss the reasons for the materials used and the techniques so that students can apply it to every project after. Students will learn how to draw feathers and achieve texture, add shade and highlights and draw a realistic looking branch.
Materials Cost: $20. Materials will be provided by the instructor. We will use Claire Fontain Pastelmat, assorted colored pencils (Faber-Castell), pencil sharpener, masking tape and kneaded erasers.
Minimum age is 16 years, no exceptions.
NOTE: Participants should bring a bag lunch.
Location: Art Studio at McDaniel College, Westminster.
