Dramatic Reading: Attenborough’s Frog by Sheri Astorino
About this Event
About the play
An artist learns the truth about her marginalized community when she herself becomes buried in her art due to profound grief. She reconnects with someone from her past who has been buried in regret due to his past actions. Together, they face their fears and learn how to come back to life again and embrace what is.
The play, with Jill Edmondson as dramaturge and director, centres on an artist, played by Melody Schaal, always searching for the meaning of life.
About the series
Alumnae’s Next Stage is a monthly reading series with dramaturged and directed script readings of new plays by our New Play Development (NPD) group members, representing a ‘next stage’ in the development of works-in-progress. These readings are directed and performed by members, with informed feedback from the audience.
