DRAMATIC CALM — ART WITH A PURPOSE
Join us for Dramatic Calm, an art exhibition and charity event where art, music, and community come together for a meaningful cause.

At the heart of Dramatic Calm is the story of Marek Terpinski, who has been living with a brain tumor for the past thirteen years.
Through this exhibition, artist Magdalena Gałecka vel Mitrza invites us into a world of reflection, emotion, memory, and human presence — while bringing attention to a very real story unfolding beyond the canvas.
All proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Marek’s fundraiser to help support his ongoing medical and personal care.
ART • CHARITY • COMMUNITY
The evening will feature Magdalena’s original paintings and handcrafted works, including selected pieces available through a charity raffle.
The raffle will also feature a variety of special items and experiences generously donated by our event sponsors and community partners, giving guests even more opportunities to participate, take something memorable home, and directly support the cause.
MUSIC & ATMOSPHERE
The exhibition will be accompanied by a live musical performance by cellist Liliana Zofia Wośko, adding another layer of expression to an evening centered on art, connection, and purpose.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Chełm, Poland, Magdalena Gałecka vel Mitrza graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Rzeszów, where she studied painting under Professor Tadeusz Gustaw Wiktor.
After moving to the United States in 2003, she continued developing an artistic practice shaped by both European and American influences.
Her work explores the relationship between the body, memory, emotion, and space, often moving between presence and absence, strength and vulnerability, intimacy and distance.
Through layered surfaces, restrained color, and partially concealed figures, Magdalena creates images that leave space for reflection and personal interpretation.
