In April Draken Ash will welcome our first guest speaker of the year!!! 🎆 Join us for Kevin Walsh's talk called "The Land Beneath Your Feet: Working the Magic of Your Square Mile"What if the most powerful place you could ever work magic… is the place you already stand?
In this talk, Kevin Walsh explores the idea of the “magical square mile”- the land immediately around you, whether that’s tower blocks and bus stops, terraced streets and parks, riversides, industrial estates, or windswept fields. Instead of chasing distant sacred sites, we’ll look at how to build deep, meaningful relationships with the spirits, stories, history and hidden currents of your own locality.
We’ll explore:
• How to uncover the mythic and historical layers of your area
• Practical ways to connect with land spirits in urban and rural settings
• Working with memory, ancestors and overlooked places
• Turning the ordinary landscape into a living magical map
This is not about grand rituals or complicated systems. It’s about attention, relationship, and stepping into a reciprocal bond with the place that holds you.
