DragonMarsh 32nd Annual August “A-B-C” SaleGet out the thesaurus, crack those dictionaries open.
This is how it works:
During the entire month of August, we assign - in alphabetical order - a letter to each day of the month. Naturally, “the letter of the day” for August 1st is “A,” the next day is dubbed “B,” and so on. We are closed Sundays so the “letter of the day” skips to Monday.
Describe any or all of your purchases into the “letter the day”, and we give you 15 % off the marked price. You can use the description,
the use, or the title, in order to justify your purchase.
Every item in the store has at least one name, and some have several.
A small example: Incense. You may get any incense on Aug. 11th because the letter the day is "I", for incense. However, you may want a special incense such as Red Sandalwood incense. You may also get red sandalwood on the 21st of the month, (red = "R") or on the 22nd of the the month ("S" = sandalwood). One of our best customers at this game several years back, bought all our incense by claiming that they were "environmental enhancers". I can also tell you that there
are at least three other days that you can get sandalwood incense
at a discount. You'll have to figure that out for yourself.
We know some of you have had your eyes on select items in the store for some time. Now is the time to take advantage of this great sale to get those holiday gifts (or something for yourself) at 15% off!
The Rules (yes- there have to be rules)
1. You must name the items you have chosen by a correctly applicable name that begins with that day’s “letter of the day” to
receive your discount. Store staff cannot help you with this creative process.
2. You may also describe an item or it’s uses to get the
discount. (Example: It is “C” day, but you want a stuffed bear. Instead of crying over lost opportunities, remember that bears are CUDDLY!)
3. We do not allow any major foreign words, unless is a very common one such as “Fleur De Lis”. We also do not except “Anything” on the “A” day or “Everything” on the “E” day. That is just plain too easy, and we want you folks using your wits in order to take advantage of our good nature. The manager on duty will have the final say as to whether a questionable word will be accepted or not.
4. The “A-B-C” Sale does not extend to weaponry, sale,
consignment or lay-away items, items already discounted, gift
certificates, or “special order” items. You may not stack this sale with another discount.
5. You simply must be creative. It’s a very fun sale!
