Wild Women Dragonfly exploration
Join us for a fun and relaxed dragonfly exploration just for women at the beautiful Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve. Discover the amazing world of dragonflies, enjoy nature, and meet like-minded wild women! We have two wonderful dragonfly experts (odonatologists) joining Helen on our quest to find and identify them.
Somerset is a premier location for dragonflies, hosting 21 of the 29 species found in the UK, including several rare and special species ,we hope to find and identify as many as possible.
We'll meet on August 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM (BST). Don’t miss this chance to connect with nature and new friends in a stunning setting.

Please wear comfortable suitable footwear (the ground can be uneven) and weather appropriate clothing. Insect repellent and sun cream is also advised.
If you have any binoculars, please bring some, we do have some we can lend out.
Unfortunately, dogs are unable to join in on our events.
