It’s time for the Dragon Parade at Pontefract Castle! Enjoy lots of fun crafts and storytelling sessions as you prepare for the big parade at 2pm. Face painting (11:30am to 4pm):
Let our fabulous face painter transform you into a fearsome dragon, fancy fairy or whatever you choose. Pop up to the castle bailey and await your transformation! Drop-in, no booking required (please note you may have to queue at busier times).
Meet the Dragon Hunters (11:30am to 3:30pm):
Meet Dragon Hunters and hear tales of their brave and daring adventures. Learn tips and tricks to find dragons yourself! Find the Dragon Hunters by the bandstand throughout the day.
Dave the Knight (11am to 3:30pm):
Noble knight Sir Dave is back for another Dragon Parade Day! He’s got lots of noble quests to tell you all about. Hear how he calmed down an angry dragon, with the help of a brave princess!
Dragon Parade crafts (11am to 3pm):
Get ready for the Dragon Parade! Make cool dragon-themed crafts to take with you on your march around the castle.
Dragon Parade (2pm):
Join Ilbert the Dragon and Dave the Knight on their epic Dragon Parade around the castle! March, make some noise and strut your funky moves.
All day: Dragon Egg Trail
Don’t forget to pop by the gift shop to collect your dragon egg trail!
All activities are free and no booking is required.
