Drag Show for Charity @ Freddie's Beach Bar & Restaurant

We will gather @ Freddie's Beach Bar & Restaurant, 555 23rd St. S, Arlington, Virginia 22202. About 50 LGBTQ+ folk are expected. This will be a very happening event.

Enjoy the spectacular drag show inside starting at 8 p.m.

There is no cover. While the event is completely free to attend, it's suggested that you bring dollar bills to give to the performers or to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a fabulous assortment of prizes.

is helping to get the word out about this fun charitable event. Tips to the drag performers this evening will benefit worthy charities that have been vetted by the Imperial Court of Washington DC. The mission of the Imperial Court of Washington, DC (ICWDC) is to raise funds for organizations, including but not limited to those supporting just the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community: HIV/AIDS services organizations, social service organizations and youth enrichment programs. It seeks to provide a safe, social environment for people with the same interest as those of the membership and to create and promote positive community awareness.

There's no group tab. Simply order on your own on separate checks. The menu is at https://www.freddiesbeachbar.com/menu. Tables for dining must be reserved in advance (highly recommended). There won't be a Go Gay DC group table.

Casual attire is fine.

Parking is usually available nearby on the residential side streets.

Metro Directions: Be eco-friendly. Metro rides are now capped at only $2.50 on weekends, depening on distance traveled. Crystal City Metro on the Blue/Yellow lines is the closest Metro stop. When you arrive, go out the station, walk towards your left to 18th Street and then veer right and walk under the Route 1 overpass to Eads St. Turn left and walk to 23rd Street. Turn right. Freddie's is up 23rd Street just a block. Just look for the rainbow flags on the right hand side of the street !

Freddie's was voted the Best Virginia Bar by Washington Blade readers. Don't like a smoky bar? You are covered: Freddie's is a smoke-free establishment. (Ashtrays are provided in back of the building if smoking is 'your thing').
