About this Event
Join Springfield United Methodist Church for an inspiring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Beloved Community Celebration as we honor Dr. King’s enduring dream of love, justice, and unity. This year’s program will feature a powerful keynote address from Mrs. Willie Mae Pearl King, an esteemed civil rights activist and former administrator with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC).
Mrs. King made history as the individual who transcribed Dr. King’s “Letter from the Birmingham J*il,” one of the most influential documents of the Civil Rights Movement. She will share personal reflections, historical insights, and encouragement for how we can continue Dr. King’s work in today’s world.
The afternoon will include music, prayer, reflection, and meaningful dialogue—a true celebration of the Beloved Community that Dr. King envisioned.
This free event is open to all ages and backgrounds. Whether you come to learn, celebrate, or connect, you’ll leave inspired to build a more compassionate and just world.
Reserve your free ticket today and be part of this unforgettable community experience!
