Indigenous Initiatives, in partnership with the Faculty of Arts Institute for Indigenous Research and Knowledges, invites you to the 2026 Winter Speaker Series event, From Language to Legacy: Stories that Sustain Indigenous Knowledge.This event will feature Dr. Charlotte Logan, from Akwesasne, a Postdoctoral Fellow in Linguistics at the University of Toronto and the Centre for Indigenous Studies. Drawing on Haudenosaunee oral literature, Dr. Logan’s talk explores how linguistic analysis, including attention to particles and everyday language use, can support Indigenous language revitalization, fluency, and cultural meaning.
