Dr. Chang's North Texas Dental Hygiene Study Club Annual Meeting 2026
About this Event
Join Lynn Pencek, RDH, MS, for an evidence-based program focused on the evolving standards of dental implant maintenance and peri-implant disease management.
Drawing from her extensive clinical, educational, and industry experience, Lynn provides practical guidance to help dental hygienists confidently assess, maintain, and manage implant-supported restorations in everyday practice. As a dental hygiene educator at Thomas Jefferson University and Community College of Philadelphia, she combines academic insight with real-world application to address common challenges and misconceptions surrounding implant care.
Participants will review current trends in the treatment of implant mucositis and peri-implantitis, explore comprehensive assessment and maintenance protocols, and learn how to individualize re-care strategies based on patient risk factors. The course will also cover safe, biocompatible instrumentation techniques, medicament protocols, maintenance considerations for full-arch implant-supported prostheses, and treatment options for compromised implants. Attendees will leave with practical tools and updated clinical strategies to enhance long-term implant success and patient outcomes.
