Dr. Bike FREE Bike Health Checks

Come along and get a FREE bike health check. Includes minor adjustments to brakes and gears, tyres inflated upto 30 minutes per bike.
About this Event

The Dr. Bike is delivered by Cotton Town Bikes. It is free thanks to funding from CyclingUK's Big Bike Revival.

An experienced, qualified mechanic will carry out a FREE bike health check on your bike. Please note, your bike must be clean for the mechanic to work on it.

What a bike health check includes:

• The mechanic will work for upto 30mins/bike.
• A thorough safety check of the bike will be completed.
• Minor adjustments to gears and brakes.
• Tyres inflated to recommended pressure.
• Chain cleaned and lubricated.
• Minor repairs e.g. inner tube replacement, brake pad and cable replacement may be carried out at the mechanic's discretion

What a bike health check does not include:

• Work over 30mins/bike
• Cleaning and degreasing
• Hydraulic brake bleeding
• Suspension servicing
• Parts other than those listed above

Prior to any work commencing each bike will be assessed using a traffic light system. Bikes falling into the amber and red categories may not be worked on.

Bikes that need more than 30mins work and/or parts can be booked into the workshop.

The Dr. Bike event is popular and numbers are limited. If you book a FREE bike health check and can no longer attend please cancel your ticket so that someone else has the chance to attend.
