Come hear the organ like you’ve never heard it before as Dr. Adam Cobb takes the bench for an unforgettable experience! With a bold, expressive style, he brings the instrument to life in ways that will surprise and inspire you. Join us for an evening of music with a gifted performer and composer whose work bridges tradition and innovation. Originally from Alabama, Dr. Cobb holds a Doctor of Music in Organ Performance from Florida State University, where he also earned his Master of Music. His career has brought him to some of the world’s most iconic instruments, including the Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia and the Midmer-Losh Organ in Atlantic City, the largest pipe organ in the world. He has performed across the United States and abroad, including tours in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and has studied with legendary organists such as Dame Gillian Weir. Known for his expressive playing and deep musical insight, Dr. Cobb’s performances have included Messiaen’s La Nativité du Seigneur, residencies with university choirs, and original compositions performed in churches and academic settings.
The concert will take place Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Henning Memorial United Methodist Church. Admission is free and open to the public. All donations will support the church’s music fund. Whether you are new to organ music or a longtime fan, this evening promises to be both powerful and memorable.
