Affinity Group Kickoff Event

This year, the Department of Principal Quality (DPQ) is hosting four affinity groups: African American/Black, Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI), Latina/e/o/x, LGBTQIA+, and Middle Eastern. These groups are designed to support current teachers and school personnel who aspire to future school leadership roles. There will be multiple in-person and virtual sessions throughout the year. Our groups are meant to be a sacred space for these communities and are led by 2 co-facilitators for each group.

Latine: Assistant Principal Natalia Torres, Dean of Restorative Practice Jose Rodriguez

Black/African American: Principal Samuel Davis, Assistant Principal Nicole Luke

LGBTQIA+: Principal Meredith Bawden, Instructional Support Lead Dr. Laura Zaniolo

AANHPI: Assistant Principal Connie Lee, Restorative Specialist Andrew Hong

Middle Eastern: Teacher Shada Badawi | Teacher Mohammad Jeber
