Join us for line music from DOWSER, an original folk-americana duo, John Kurtis Dehn on vocals, guitar, and harmonica and John Strei on drums and hand percussion.

The two have been friends since high-school and
are veterans of many bands between them. For over 10 years, Dehn played guitar, mandolin, and tenor banjo in the bluegrass/swing band, Bernie King and the Guilty Pleasures. Strei’s latest foray was the blues band, The Flaming Doublewides. Since 2023 they have brought their varied experiences and interests together as Dowser.
Dehn’s original songs contain shades of Tom Waits, Jackson Browne, and The Waterboys. His melodies and lyrics can be haunting or playful, but always leave something for the listener to mull over. His solo album “Shovel & Hole” can be previewed on his website or streamed on Bandcamp, Apple Music and Spotify. During their engaging live shows, Dowser always adds their own unique take on songs by artists like John Prine, Roxy Music, The Box Tops, Springsteen, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash and many more.
