About this Event
Join birder and naturalist Wes Homoya for a special weekday birding walk through the heart of downtown Indianapolis. We'll start at Military Park and make our way toward Monument Circle, scanning rooftops and treetops for Peregrine Falcons, Red-shouldered Hawks, and the surprisingly diverse array of migratory birds that call Indy’s concrete canyons home.
We'll meet for some morning weekday birding, Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 9-11a.m. ET. Participants will meet at the northwest corner of Military Park (at Blackford and New York Streets). Full details and directions will be emailed to all registrants.
Peregrine Print Drawing
As a celebration of birds this fall, all attendees are automatically entered to win a limited-edition woodblock print of a Peregrine Falcon in Indianapolis, created by artist Matt Rees (valued at $200). Want extra chances to win? Buy raffle tickets (link coming soon). The winner will be drawn on Sept. 22.
Registration
Registration is required and limited to 20 participants. Event tickets are $5 for Indiana Audubon members and $10 per person for non-members, plus applicable Eventbrite processing fees.
Accessibility
Benches and seating areas are available at several points, including Military Park, Monument Circle, and public plazas along the way, though they are spaced out. If you require accommodations to participate, please contact us as early as possible. While we may not be able to meet every request, we will make every reasonable effort to do so.
