In 2023 we were asked to sing at the Downtown Rescue Mission in Huntsville, AL for their 4th Friday night program. This ministry is an integral part of the community and we love their Statement of Faith, "At the Downtown Rescue Mission, we offer Help and Hope — help to overcome hunger, homelessness, addiction and abuse, and eternal hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ." Ms Millie, the coordinator of these 4th Friday events and the Wednesday night women's group, is a good friend of our bass, Jimmy Irvin, and has invited Anchored to return for the 11/22/2024 program starting at 7:00 p.m. What an opportunity to share our ministry! Isn't this what Jesus laid out for Christians to be doing until His return? On the Friday before Thanksgiving we're going to be at 1400 Evangel Dr in Huntsville, AL, the home of the Downtown Rescue MIssion, where their slogan is HOPE LIVES HERE and will bring our music ministry of the hope and love of Christ. Join us in praying for a move of the Holy Spirit in this service!
