Get a glimpse of what it’s like to live downtown! On Saturday, May 2, from 2pm-6pm, Downtown Joplin Alliance invites you to join its 2026 Downtown Lofts Tour, showcasing historic properties available to rent or buy in the downtown area.
This "open house-style" tour will take you into some of downtown's most fascinating properties--some units will be fully furnished and occupied, others will still be in process of renovation to some degree. Expect to even see a few properties where restoration has not yet begun!
While we still may have some surprises up our ever-stylish sleeves, these buildings will form the core. This tour will allow you to visit spaces that have otherwise limited access--including, for the first time, a few spaces destined for more commercial or flexible purposes (including the Joplin Carnegie Library)!

Tour visitors are also welcome to stop into the Starry Eyed Lounge, to cool off (or warm up, it is Missouri after all) and grab a a drink and a snack. This is located at Starry Eyed Girl, in the plaza space in between the Christman and the Pennington at 512 Virginia Ave.
Tickets are $25 and will grant entry to all properties on the tour, as well as a commemorative guidebook.

Separate tickets are also available for the after hours Tip Top Toast: A Vip Reception Under the Stars! Join us on the roof of the historic Columbian Building at 418 S Main St from 7pm-9pm, for live music, signature cocktails, and small plates from Starry Eyed Girl. Tickets are $75 each, include a ticket for the daytime tour, and a keepsake etched rocks glass. This is a rain or shine event--no refunds given. In case of the inclement weather, the Tip Top Toast Reception will move to a suitably awesome indoor location.
All proceeds will benefit Downtown Joplin Alliance, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the revitalization of our historic downtown district.
