Social Entertainment is excited to announce the second edition of Downtown Kids Camp, La Fête des Enfantes to be held on April 21st and 22nd downtown at Chez La Fête. We have the answer for parents looking for childcare or just a couple fun filled days for their children over spring break.We invite them to join us for this very special second edition of Downtown Kids Camp.
Margaret Voorhies, DKC Director, is an educator with over 30 years of experience teaching and counseling elementary aged children. “We want DKC to be a fun, safe, and enriching experience in a nurturing space that promotes positive community involvement.”
Who: Children ages 6-11
When : April 21 and 22
8:30-2:30 extended day available
Where: Chez La Fête, 811 Lafayette St
What: Downtown Kids Camp, the place to make friends and have fun!
Snacks and Lunch provided!
Inspired by Festival International we have thoughtfully planned activities celebrating cultures around the world. Campers will learn about art from other countries and create pieces of their own. Global music will be enjoyed while they play games enjoyed by children around the world.
In addition, they will be creating tokens of Peace and Love to share with Festival International revelers visiting our city and our on site International Peace Pole. The Peace Pole was installed at our first DKC, joining the other 200,000 poles around the world, not only as a symbol of our wish for world peace, but also as a symbol of DKC’s mission to “inspire children to be beacons of peace and kindness in their own lives.”
