Join us for the very first Downtown Hartford First Friday, a growing collaboration among Main Street shops, restaurants and businesses.
Our September theme is Italian Summer—and participating businesses will be putting their own spin on the evening with food, drinks, shopping, activities and a few surprises along the way.
The idea behind First Friday is simple: come downtown and make an evening of it.
Start with an appetizer or a drink. Meet friends for dinner. Bring the kids for a smoothie or custard. Wander into a shop you haven't visited before. Stay for dessert. Walk Main Street and see what you discover.
No tickets. No itinerary required. Just open doors, later hours and a reason to spend a Friday evening downtown.
We're starting small and learning as we go, and we hope First Friday becomes an easy answer to:
“What should we do tonight?”
