Downtown Fergus Falls is the place to be: the Otter Tail County Historical Society hosts a Downtown Fergus Falls Mystery Tour on Friday, October 16, at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10; meet at the historic River Inn.
Minnesota literary icon Sinclair Lewis was reticent about Fergus Falls. At first he thought, “With all the churches and lack of drinking establishments it would be the most boring place on earth.” After spending time in town, however, Lewis changed his mind. “If you sit back and observe, there are enough odd characters and strange events to fill a notebook.”
Sinclair Lewis’s observation pretty much sums up the Downtown Fergus Falls Mystery Tour. During the tour, you will learn about the scandals, intrigues, and just plain craziness that have always been part of our quaint and quiet community.
