Downtown Denver & 16th Street Public Art Walking Tour

Join Denver Public Art on a leisurely walk around Downtown Denver and learn about some of Denver’s most unique, eccentric public artworks. Why do the sidewalks sing? Why are there hubcaps on the old police station building? Why is the Big Blue Bear blue? And new art on 16th Street!

Calling all animal lovers! During the tour on July 13, tour participants will be “treat”ed to a special appearance by an adoptable dog from Denver Animal Shelter, stopping by for pets, photos and paw-tographs.

In addition to matching adoptable animals of all kinds to loving homes, Denver Animal Protection reunites lost pets with their owners, enforces Denver County animal ordinances and provides education, resources and care to community members and their pets. The Denver Animal Shelter is an open-admission shelter that is home to nearly 8,700 lost and abandoned pets each year. The tour will last approximately 1 hour. Tour participants will meet at the Botero sculptures, “Man” and “Woman” on the Denver Performing Arts Complex Galleria near 14th and Curtis Streets and be led by Rudi Cerri.

This tour is free to attend, but registration is required. If you cannot attend after registering, please cancel your order to release your ticket so that another art lover may take your spot. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tours are rain or shine, however should conditions become dangerous because of severe weather, Denver Public Art reserves the right to cancel or delay/pause the tour.
