A Theological Response to the Persistence of Eugenics Today
About this Event

Join us for a public lecture sponsored by the CTPI with Dr Jason Sexton, UCLA. Dr Sexton's research is particular focussed on race, prisons and incarceration and Christian theology.

The lecture will be followed by Q&A and a drinks reception for those attending in person. Online attendance also welcome.


Jason Sexton

Jason Sexton (PhD St Andrews) is a formerly-incarcerated theologian based at University of California, Los Angeles, with research and teaching interests that intersect theology, carcerality, and the environment. His work has appeared in scholarly and public outlets, and he is the editor of the recent, Redemptive Dreams: Engaging Kevin Starr's California (Routledge); as well as Who is Jesus Christ for Us Today? Evangelical Christology Seventeen Centuries after Nicaea (Routledge).

  • All rooms at New College are accessible with the exception of the Senate Room and the Baillie Room which do not have step-free access.
  • In line with fire safety regulations attendees using a wheelchair must be able to self-transfer to an evac chair in order to safely evacuate the building.
