People's Emergency Briefing - FILM Screening

Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre, 67b Groathill Rd North, EH4 2SA

Join this film screening of the briefing followed by discussion exploring what action could look like locally. How will climate change affect us here in Edinburgh?

The – is a powerful new film bringing together the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis, and what it means for our lives and communities.

This event includes soup and bread served between 6pm- 6.20pm.

🌍 About the film

Based on the 2025 National Emergency Briefing in Westminster, this 45 minute documentary presents key insights from leading UK experts on climate and nature.

It explores how the crisis is already affecting areas such as health, food and the economy - and why urgent, collective action matters.


We will be inviting our newly elected representatives at national and local level. Speakers tbc.

🗣 What to expect
  • 18.00 Soup and cuppa (20 mins)
  • 18.30 Film screening (50 mins) till 7.20pm
  • 19.30 Facilitated group discussion (1 hour)

The discussion is a key part of the event – offering space to reflect, share perspectives and explore what meaningful action could look like locally.

Open to everyone. The film is a 16 rating.

No prior knowledge needed. You do not need to stay for the discussion afterwards but we would be delighted if you do.


Donations: Donations will be gratefully received on the door to cover heating lighting and food. Suggested between £3-£10. Card reader accepted.

Step-free access is available via a the front door with accessible toilets on site.


Buses: 17, 24, 27, 29, 37.
Cycling: Come down the Roseburn Path from Haymarket and peel off after Craigleith through Easter Drylaw Park. Head West along Easter Drylaw Drive towards Groathill Rd North, turn south long Groathill Rd North, turn left onto Groathill Loan, beside Rowanfield Special School. EH4 2SA
