Nurturing Birth is coming to Harrogate – four days of real doula training for a real business, right here in North Yorkshire.

If you've been quietly wondering whether you could be a doula – reading birth stories at midnight, being the friend everyone calls when they're pregnant, getting a bit teary at One Born Every Minute – this is your sign.
Here's what we do differently:
✨ We don't hand you a rulebook. There isn't one. Doula work has no strict rules, so we'll help you work out what kind of doula YOU want to be and build a business that fits your life, not someone else's.
✨ We talk about money. Properly. Walking alongside families is beautiful work, but it also needs to pay the bills. You'll treat this as a proper business from day one.
✨ You won't be left on your own. When I started as a doula in 2009, nobody in my town knew what a doula was. I was a total Billy-no-mates. That's exactly why community is at the heart of everything we do now.
✨ You don't need to have had a baby. You don't need any experience. You don't need to have worked in the birth world. You just need to care deeply about supporting families through one of life's most transformative events.
What's included – £1,495:
• 4-day in-person course in a small group of no more than 6
• Our brand-new, completely rewritten course manual
• 3 one-to-one mentoring sessions with an experienced doula
• A free listing in our graduate directory once you're certified
• Lifetime access to our doula community, including our weekly Virtual Cuppa
• Interest-free payment plans available
Nurturing Birth has been training doulas since 2005 and we're a Doula UK recognised course provider. I'm Sarah, and I'll be facilitating the course – I've been a doula since 2009.
