The James River Valley (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, in partnership with the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, invites you to a free screening of the powerful documentary:
Meet Me in the Bottom: The Struggle to Reclaim Richmond’s African Burial Ground.
Produced and directed by Dr. Shawn Utsey, Chair of the Department of African American Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, this 40-minute documentary explores the history of Richmond’s African Burial Ground and the community efforts to reclaim and honor this sacred site.
Following the screening, Dr. Utsey will participate in a brief Q&A discussion.
Admission is free, but registration is required. Feel free to invite family and friends.
