Two jazz titans come together for one swinging show as modern master of the tenor saxophone Doug Lawrence joins Steinway Artist Markus Gottschlich and his piano trio.
For 25 years, Doug has been the featured tenor saxophonist with the multi-Grammy-winning Count Basie Orchestra, sharing the stage with icons including Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin. He has also performed for six U.S. Presidents and the Queen of England.
Raised in Vienna and shaped by both classical music and jazz, Markus has performed at major international jazz festivals and brings a cinematic flair and European sensibility to Doug’s classic American jazz sound.
