THE SHVKES - Emerging in the Fall of 2024 from Denver Colorado, THE SHVKES (pronounced "The Shakes") are here to bring a revitalization to that classic early 2000's post-grunge sound. We are a 4 piece supergroup of sorts made from other nationally touring bands: LEGS the Band, The Ephinjis (endorsed by Collision Drumsticks) and Space Madness.
THE SHVKES arrived as a modern answer to those early Deftones, Korn, and System of a Down CDs you listened to under the blanket. You knew you had to be up early for school the next day, but it didn't matter. We write our music as a love letter to our 13 year old selves.
Since our formation late last year, we have toured through multiple states. THE SHVKES has been seen at renown venues such as Lion's Lair in Denver, Kirby's in Wichita, and Skate Bar in Kansas City as well as opened for Cardiel (the first ever Mexican/Venezuelan band featured by Thrasher magazine).
We have released our first EP titled "Spare Rib" and as of right now, a new album is now in the works. Expect to hear some singles leading up to the full release followed by a west coast tour in the Spring. Subscribe to our mailing list to be the first to know where THE SHVKES are off to next!
