PLAYERS MEETING WILL START AT 9:00 AM! BALLS FLY AT 9:15 AM
Check in will be 8:00 AM-8:45 AM. Please do not be late or you will forfeit your match(10 minute grace period)
LOCATION: LARRY BELL PARK
Restrooms and parking are located at the aquatic center near the park! The aquatic center is open from 9 AM until 2:00 PM. Please use the restrooms there or drive to the QT across the street preferably!
Please pick up your trash and do not leave anything! I am not a janitor! I will not keep any type of clothing/towel. Anything else I will keep for a week before donating.
Standard DOUBLES court. Not a full size court!
Maximum of 3 touches per side
No open-hand tips — use knuckles or closed fist
Blocking: A block does count as a touch
After a block, the blocker’s team still has two remaining touches
Jousting
At any point, if a ball is handset on the plane of the net and the enemy side touches it first, IT IS ILLEGAL.
Setting — no prolonged lifts or double contacts(Referee's discretion)
One hand sets are allowed as long as it is on your side.
If it crosses the plane of the net, the play is dead.
Open hand receive
Open Hand contact must be clean on first contact unless it is hard driven.
Open Hand receive on serve receive is illegal.
NO SET OVERS ALLOWED
No nets at any point of play. A net is a net
A foot fault must be called as well.
Center line crossing should be called accordingly, injuries often are on the net(This is up to referees discretion).
Pursuit on another court is illegal even if you only step on the lines.
That play will be dead the moment you step on another court regardless if no team is playing on it.
Subbing is not tolerated under any circumstances.
If your team is not the correct team shown on VolleyballLife, you will be disqualified.
Please notify me before the tournament day if changes need to be made so you can be put in the appropriate division.
If playoffs had not started, you may give up your spot to the next team thats available.
If you just want to play, you can be subject to play with a substitute, but you will be forfeiting the match no matter what.
SANDBAGGING - I Will be very strict on sandbagging. No exceptions.
If any team member has won a tournament in any A or BB Division for this year, your team will be moved to next division up.
So if you have won a BB or A tournament, you will be placed in the A/Open division regardless of the format
PLAY TO YOUR BEST PLAYER
Any current/former College volleyball athlete will be automatically put in the highest division.
Payout percentages after payment portal fees (% of the total of entries in the division) and sales tax.
