Solidarity Economy Double Feature: Resisting harm, building communities of care.
About this Event

Please join us for a double feature of Boston Ujima Project's and Brave Narrative's (Center for Economic Democracy, City Life Vida Urbana Center) .

The event, located at Jo-Mé Dance Arts in Jamaica Plain, will entail the screening of two documentaries that highlight the way everyday people in the Boston area are resisting patriarchy, gender based violence, capitalism, corrupt bosses, evictions, and more. Film protagonists are building communities of care that center self determination, people power, and personal/collective healing. After the screenings, group discussions will be held around the films core takeaways. This is a great opportunity for meeting fellow neighbors and get involved in the local solidarity economy movement.

Please note that Jo-Mé Dance Arts has a 'no shoes policy' in their studio. Socks will be provided on request!

Doors open at 2:45pm
