Directed by Josué Talaverano, Fuimos Héroes (2025) revisits Peru’s unforgettable victory in the 1975 Copa América, fifty years after the national team became continental champions. Through the memories of the players who lived that historic achievement, the documentary celebrates a generation of footballers who united a country and became part of Peru’s collective memory.

Directed by Jimmy Valdivieso, Mi Barrios Altos Querido (2019) follows five residents of Barrios Altos: a neighbourhood leader, a guardian of its architectural and musical heritage, a former prisoner rebuilding his life, a young Afro-Peruvian dancer and an artist shaped by migration. Together, their stories reveal the dignity, struggle and cultural richness of one of Lima’s most historic neighbourhoods.

Mi Barrios Altos Querido received the award for Best Documentary at the V Trujillo Film Festival and Best Editing at the I Festival de Cine Incontrastable.
