Two horror plays collide in a darkly funny night of cryptids, zombies, satire, paranoia, and psychological thrills.
About this Event

Double Creature Feature is a darkly funny, unsettling, and surprisingly poignant evening of horror theater featuring two original short plays by playwright Bennett Ayres: Creatures of the Night and Sabertooth! Together, these plays blend creature-feature thrills, psychological tension, satire, and sharp social commentary into one unforgettable theatrical experience.

In Creatures of the Night, two amateur cryptozoologists hole up in a cramped backyard shed to investigate reports of mysterious animal attacks and possible werewolf activity. Armed with coffee, sandwiches, bad science, and bruised egos, Fleckwell and Conk attempt to prove themselves serious researchers while their friendship slowly unravels under the weight of insecurity, loneliness, belief, and obsession. Equal parts hilarious and haunting, the play explores masculinity, fear, the need for connection, and why people desperately want to believe in monsters.

In Sabertooth!, a government weapons research facility descends into chaos after scientists develop horrifying “re-animated” biological weapons designed for military warfare. As a deadly containment breach unleashes violent creatures throughout the facility, two rival scientists are forced to confront their ambition, morality, betrayals, and complicity in creating monsters of their own making. Combining sci-fi horror, biting satire, and emotional depth, Sabertooth! asks what happens when intelligence is stripped of humanity.

Featuring Zachariah Stonerock, Kelli Thomas, Audrey Stonerock, and Doug Powers, Double Creature Feature delivers campy horror energy, sharp humor, creature chaos, and emotional honesty inspired by classic late-night monster movies and creature features.

Presented by the Free Alliance Theatre Project in association with Ankh Productions at Lincoln Lane Coffee Co. from May 29th through June 7th. Doors open at 7:30PM & the show begins at 8PM.

You are strongly encouraged to buy tickets online ahead of time; there will be no cash for change on hand at venue; card can be used at the door.
