Dá se z bývalé nemocnice vytvořit bytový dům? Lze kombinovat bydlení s vozovnou pro tramvaje?
Přístupy, které posouvají hranice komunitního bydlení, představí na přednášce zakladatel vyhlášeného švýcarského studia Müller Sigrist Architekten, architekt Pascal Müller. Odborný úvod přednášky povede urbanista a výzkumník Dr. David Kostenwein z fakulty architektury ETH Zürich.
Ateliér Müller Sigrist Architekten se dlouhodobě zabývá otázkou bydlení. Zakládá si na chytré multifunkčnosti navrhovaných budov a otevřenosti vůči komunitě pro kterou jsou určeny. Pascal Müller v Praze představí víceúčelový obytný a komerční blok Kalkbreite a kolaborativní projekt pro bytové družstvo Mehr als Wohnen.
Pascal Müller založil studio Müller Sigrist Architekten v roce 2001 s Peterem Sigristem. Jejich realizace hledají cesty, jak udržitelným a perspektivním způsobem propojit bydlení s komerčními i komunitními funkcemi. Pascal Müller je absolventem fakulty architektury ETH Zürich. Působil jako hostující profesor na HEPIA v Ženevě a na BFH v Bernu. Pravidelně také zasedává v porotách architektonických soutěží.
Přednáška proběhne v angličtině.
Na přednášku od 21.00 hodin naváže projekce dokumentu Brunaupark. Snímek mapuje tříletý zápas obyvatel curyšského sídliště, kteří se odmítají stát pouhou položkou v investičním portfoliu a s nezdolným odhodláním čelí nejistému osudu svého domova.
Pro účast na obou akcích platí zvýhodněné vstupné nebo lze zakoupit i samostatně.

Can a former hospital be transformed into a residential building? Is it possible to combine housing with a tram depot?
Approaches that push the boundaries of community housing will be presented in a lecture by architect Pascal Müller, founder of the renowned Swiss studio Müller Sigrist Architekten. The lecture will be introduced by urbanist and researcher Dr. David Kostenwein from the Faculty of Architecture at ETH Zurich.
Müller Sigrist Architekten has long focused on the question of housing. Their work emphasizes smart multifunctionality in building design and openness toward the communities they serve. In Prague, Pascal Müller will present the mixed-use residential and commercial block Kalkbreite, as well as the collaborative project for the housing cooperative Mehr als Wohnen.
Pascal Müller co-founded Müller Sigrist Architekten in 2001 together with Peter Sigrist. Their projects explore ways to connect housing with commercial and community functions in sustainable and forward-looking ways. Pascal Müller is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at ETH Zurich. He has served as a visiting professor at HEPIA in Geneva and at BFH in Bern, and regularly participates as a juror in architectural competitions.
The lecture will be held in English.
The lecture will be followed at 9:00 PM by a screening of the documentary Brunaupark. The film traces the three-year struggle of residents of a Zurich housing estate who refuse to become just another item in an investment portfolio and who face the uncertain future of their homes with determination.
