🥋 WELCOME TO THE DORSET & HAMPSHIRE OPEN 2025!
This event is open to all belts, ages, and experience levels — offering both Gi and No Gi divisions.

🕓 SCHEDULE & TIMING
We run using Smoothcomp’s dynamic scheduling system, which updates in real time based on whether fights go ahead or finish early.
Start Time: 9:00 AM
Estimated Finish: Around 3:00 PM
Arrival Time: Please arrive 1 hour before your first match to sign in, warm up, and weigh in.
You're welcome to stay all day — but monitor Smoothcomp for live updates.
⏰ Fight times will be published around 1st October, once registration closes and brackets are finalized.

🎟️ SPECTATOR INFO
Adult Spectators: £5 on the door
Child Competitors: ONE adult spectator included free
Additional spectators with children: £5 each

🔄 CHANGES TO ENTRY
You can update your entry yourself via your Smoothcomp account until midnight on Check Day – Monday 29th September.
✅ Check the following before the deadline:
- Academy name is correct (cannot be changed on the day)
- Weight category is one you can make
- Age category is correct (you may move to a younger category)
- Belt rank is up to date if you’ve been promoted

You must make weight on the day to be eligible to compete.

We follow IBJJF rules.

🔄 MERGES & BRACKETS
We will begin reviewing competitor numbers and making category merges from 29th September.
Adult competitors can only move to younger age groups or heavier weight categories.
Aim for at least 4 competitors per bracket to allow fights to go ahead even if someone no-shows.

Free parking for the first 3 hours
Purchase additional time to avoid a fine from their camera system
Showers, lockers, and an on-site café available
Açaí stall in the main hall for that post-fight boost!

Our professional photographer will capture all the action, with photos uploaded to our Facebook page a few days after the event.
