It’s not easy being the Pigeon — you never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. Featuring an innovative mix of songs, and feathers, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is sure to get everyone’s wings flapping.
Join us for this free one hour musical performance. Here’s all you need to know:
The five Ws
- Who: These free performances are designed for children ages 4 to 7 and their caregivers.
- What: A free, one-hour musical production of TheaterWorksUSA’s Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical!
- Where: Hy-Vee Center at Centennial Park, located at 1565 St Andrews Drive, North Liberty.
- When: Saturday, March 28, 2026. Two showtimes will be offered: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
- Why: A chance to see a favorite picture book come to life!
Free Tickets
This is a free, one-hour, indoor performance at the new event hall in Centennial Park. Seating will be on banquet chairs and on the concrete floor.
Two identical performances will be offered:
- 10:00 a.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m.)
- 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.)
Due to venue capacity, 350 free tickets are available for each performance. Attendees can secure their spot on Eventbrite beginning at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, so they can plan their Saturday accordingly.
About the Show
With a script written by Mo Willems, the creator of the #1 New York Times best-selling, Caldecott Honor award-winning “Pigeon” picture books, and featuring music by Deborah Wicks La Puma (Elephant & Piggie’s We Are in a Play!), TheaterWorksUSA’s Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is even more fun than staying up late and having a hot dog party!
