PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIREDJoin Master Naturalist Bob Thompson for an introduction to map reading and orienteering!
$5/person (PVAS members receive a 10% discount). Pre-registration is required. For ages 16 and older. All youth must be accompanied by an adult. This program is limited to 12 participants and has a minimum of 3 participants.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of map reading and land navigation in a fun, practical program focused on real-world skills. The session includes a classroom presentation and outdoor practice (but not a full compass course). You’ll leave with memorable, useful skills to help keep you safe in the outdoors. Maps and compasses will be provided.
