Tickets for our March musical comedy, DON'T HUG ME, WE'RE FAMILY, are on sale! Tickets can now be purchased online, at our Piggly Wiggly ticket outlet, or by calling our box office.
Tickets may be purchased at Piggly Wiggly, 1330 Memorial Dr., Watertown for $15, by calling the box office--(920)306-4364, or online at https://watertownplayers.square.site/s/shop. Tickets will also be available at the door before each of the performances for $20. The show will be performed March 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., and on March 15 and 22 at 2:00 pm. at the Watertown Players’ Theater, 210 S. Water St. (inside The Market), Watertown, WI. The book and lyrics were written by Phil Olson, music was written by Paul Olson and is being presented by an arrangement with Concord Theatricals, www.concordtheatricals.com.
This musical comedy takes place in the small north woods bar in Bunyan Bay, Minnesota owned by Clara and Gunner Johnson. The Bunyan Bar now also houses K-O-L-D radio with Gunner hosting a show devoted entirely to ice fishing, but he has lost his only advertiser. Clara is the popular host of a radio show devoted to books, with more than enough advertisers, once again putting the couple in competition. Their marital problems only compound when two fish-out-of-water Brooklyn Italians come to this rural Minnesota town, buy the radio station, and turn everything upside down. This is the sixth, and final, in the Don’t Hug Me series of musical comedies, to be presented by Watertown Players Community Theater.
