Science Café on the Coast will host a presentation “Don’t be Shellfish!” on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Gulfport Public Library. Speakers will be Novalee Booth and Rachel Lynch of the “Behind the Seas” Podcast. The co-hosts will be diving deep into the lives of fascinating marine species and the current challenges they face in today’s oceans. From the mysteries of the deep sea to the threats of climate change and human impact, you’ll gain new insights into the hidden world beneath the surface.

This event offers those with minimal background in science the chance to meet and discuss scientific issues in a relaxed social setting. Admission is free and open to the public with light refreshments available.
