Great musical acts will be performing.
This month we are being invaded by Virginians!! Two great acts that were spawned from the Reston Herndon Folk Club, a 40 year old organization that is the hub of folk music in Northern Virginia.
Rick Landers & Heartland
Heartland is an award winning Americana-Folk-Pop-Country group that will steal hearts and open minds. They have been at the DNHF before and are crowd favorites. See later in this Evite for more info.
Joe Shade
Joe is a singer/songwriter with deep rock and punk roots. He's performing solo on 4/11 but there could be some ensemble support for some oh his more complex songs.

Rick Landers & Heartland
Fronted by multi-award winning songwriter, Rick Landers, Heartland is a musical group that performs
Rick's original songs that cover Americana-Folk-Pop-Country and a little jazz. The group for the
Donoharm Farm performance will include:
Rick (guitar/lead vocals);
Ron Goad (percussion/backing vocals);
Jim Nagle (dobro);
Irwin Anolik (djembe)
Larry Tapper (harmonica).
In various configurations, Rick, as a soloist, or the ensemble have performed at the National Cherry Blossom Festival six times, the Washington Folk Festival, the Embassy of South Africa, and as far away as Raton, New Mexico. Rick & Heartland released their debut album, Randomness, in February 2026 and plan on releasing a second album, Blue World, this summer.
Joe Shade
Joe Shade is singer/songwriter with rock and punk bona fides working his way from his glam rock beginnings in St. Louis to his days playing at CBGB’s in New York City with a rather notorious punk band and then later with a power-pop outfit that actually made a record.
But all that was “back in the day.”
Today he plays music that attempts to process the world we live in: a world of crooked mirrors and bursting bubbles where it can be a struggle to comprehend the whole even as time itself accelerates.
