Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue is proud to announce our participation in Equine Affaire 2025, where we will host the much-anticipated Donkey Extravaganza in Ohio. This special event is designed for donkey lovers, equine enthusiasts, and curious visitors alike, offering a unique opportunity to learn, interact, and celebrate the wonderful world of donkeys. Here’s an in-depth look at what attendees can expect from this comprehensive and engaging experience.
DONKEY EDUCATION RING
A Hub of Knowledge and Demonstrations. One of the major highlights of the Donkey Extravaganza is the Donkey Education Ring. Over the course of four days, from Thursday to Sunday, attendees will have the chance to attend 34 one-hour educational and demonstration sessions. These sessions are meticulously curated to provide insights into various aspects of donkey care, behavior, training, and wellness.
Expert Presenters and Diverse Topics. We are excited to feature experts from Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue who will share their extensive knowledge on all things related to donkey welfare. These presentations will cover topics ranging from nutrition and shelter requirements to behavioral traits and social interaction, offering attendees a comprehensive understanding of how to better care for and connect with their donkeys.
Additionally, The Education Ring will also feature other experts specializing in donkey-specific health care including donkey dentistry, hoof care, and much more. This lineup ensures a well-rounded education on maintaining a donkey’s overall health and longevity.
Each day will end with the Donkey Expert Panel, where attendees can ask the panel any question on donkey care, training, and welfare.
DONKEY ADOPTION AFFAIRE
Meet and Connect with Adoptable Donkeys. For those looking to open their hearts and homes to a new companion, the Donkey Adoption Affaire is an unmissable part of the Donkey Extravaganza. We will have adoptable donkeys available for visitors to meet in both the Donkey Extravaganza area in the Voinovich Livestock & Trade Center and the Adoption Affaire Barn in the Celeste building. This experience allows potential adopters to observe the donkeys’ behaviors up close and interact with them in a comfortable setting.

DONKEY VENDOR EXPO
Shopper’s Paradise for Donkey Enthusiasts. No event would be complete without an opportunity to browse and shop, and the Donkey Vendor Expo delivers just that. The expo will feature vendors offering a variety of donkey-focused products, tack, services, and specialty items. This expo is the perfect place to discover new products, network with other donkey owners, and find specialized items that cater to the needs of these beloved animals.
KIDS KORNER
A Family-Friendly Fun Zone. Equine Affaire isn’t just for adults—children are more than welcome, and our Kids Korner ensures they have a delightful experience. Designed to offer kids (and their parents) a break from the busy event schedule, the Kids Korner features a variety of fun activities, including:

DONKEY EDUCATION STATION

Here, attendees can even take a virtual tour of the Donkey History Museum, an immersive experience that highlights the donkey’s legacy and contributions throughout history.
MARKETPLACE CONSIGNMENT SHOP
As part of the broader Equine Affaire event, the Marketplace Consignment Shop is a great place for attendees to purchase gently used donkey tack and accessories. Visitors will find lightly worn blankets, driving harnesses, pack saddles, and more—perfect for those seeking quality equipment at reasonable prices. This consignment shop not only supports the donkey community but also offers a sustainable way to reuse valuable gear. We are also happy to accept donations of gently used tack for re-sale in the consignment shop.
