About this Event
🌬️ Inhale, Exhale, Unravel.
Sakala will be hosting a special donation-based Psychedelic Breathwork Journey, facilitated by Enlightened & Unhinged, in an effort to raise funds for the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network. Although one event does not stop the harm being done, the hope is to provide funding to an organization that directly provides free legal/social services to local immigrants facing immigration detention.
There are no substances consumed for this journey, "psychedelic" is just a descriptor for the natural high that comes with this style of High-Ventilation Breathwork. The goal for these journeys is, and always will be, to hold space for others looking to improve their relationship to themselves, attune to their bodies, and empower them to make better choices in alignment with their own healing journey. This form of breathwork can also be incredibly cathartic for the collective grief many are feeling right now.

You'll participate in breathwork that consists of a circular and continuous 3 part breath with a surprising twist — a primal scream for the ultimate release.
💫 What you’ll experience:
- Guided breathwork sequence to help you center yourself, go inward, and release stored emotions
- An integration circle to share and reflect afterwards—supportive, judgment‑free, real talk
Wear comfy clothes, come as you are, and bring the following items to session:
- Water Bottle
- Pillow
- Journal & Pen
- Eye Mask/Sleep Mask

Waiver/Disclaimer Section
While breathwork is generally a safe practice for most people, as someone who values trauma-informed care and safety it's important to mention a few items. By purchasing your ticket to this event you are acknowledging the following:
1. Voluntary Participation
I’m choosing to join this breathwork event (Enlightened & Unhinged | Breathwork and Somatics) of my own free will. I understand it may bring up strong physical and emotional sensations—including tingling, dizziness, muscle tension, tears, laughter, difficult memories, and emotional release.
2. Medical & Contraindications
I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate. I understand breathwork may not be safe if I am:
• Pregnant or suspect I might be
• Managing cardiovascular issues, high blood pressure, glaucoma, detached retina, epilepsy, severe mental illness, Multiple Sclerosi, nervous system disorders, psychosis, recent surgery, or other serious conditions.
•I’ve consulted a healthcare provider if any apply to me, and agree to disclose relevant conditions to the facilitator
3. No Medical or Psychological Advice
I acknowledge this session is not a replacement for medical or mental health care and does not offer diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions.
4. Confidentiality & Respect
I agree to respect the privacy of others and keep personal shares confidential. I’ll honor everyone's space and disclosures.
5. Media Consent
I understand that photos, audio, or video may be captured, and by participating, I consent to their use for promotional or educational purposes—unless I notify the facilitator in writing before the event.
6. Acknowledgement
I have read and fully understand this waiver. I acknowledge that by moving forward and purchasing a ticket to this event, I acknowledge the information disclosed in this waiver and agree to its terms voluntarily.

Introductions
Info: This time will be used for introductions with the group and a quick rundown of what breathwork is and why it is so beneficial. I will also introduce myself, how I found breathwork, and why I decided to incorporate it into my personal healing practice. We will also go over the proper breathing pattern you'll be using.

Active Breathing
Info: During this time you will be participating in the active breathing portion of the event supported by a thoughtful playlist to help you remain present and truly focus on your breath. Toward the end of the session there will be a song dedicated to the primal scream moment, where I will actively cue you to release your scream into your pillow.

Reflective Journaling & Integration Circle
Info: During this time you'll have a few minutes to come back to the room and journal about your experience. You'll also have the chance to share with the group, as much or as little as you are comfortable.
