The Sunnyside wrestling community proudly invites all Sunnyside District athletic alumni, former coaches, athletes, families, and supporters to join us in celebrating the life and enduring legacy of Coach Klostreich.
Coach Klostreich helped establish a standard of excellence and championship success in the 1970s that became the foundation for generations of wrestlers and student-athletes. His leadership helped build a tradition of winning that has continued for more than four decades throughout the Sunnyside District.
As part of this special celebration, we will recognize all Sunnyside and Desert View Wrestling alumni and honor every State Championship team from both Sunnyside High School and Desert View High School. We are proud to recognize and celebrate the athletes, coaches, and teams whose hard work, dedication, and success brought State Championships to the Sunnyside District and helped build one of Arizona’s proudest athletic traditions.
This event will provide an opportunity to reconnect with former teammates, coaches, and friends while honoring a man whose impact extended far beyond the wrestling mat.
Welcoming Remarks by Ward 5 Council Member Selina Barajas.
To help us plan for the event, an RSVP link will be provided. We encourage all alumni, family members, and guests planning to attend to complete the RSVP form.
Beverages and spirits will be available for purchase at the bar.
