Domingo Flamenco
A New Sunday Flamenco Series at the San Francisco War Memorial
Join us for the inaugural presentation of Domingo Flamenco
About this Event
7/1/26
Dear customers of Domingo Flamenco, Roberto is invited to attend another birthday party in East Bay on the same day, and due to this conflict in time schedule for most flamencos in Bay Area basically, this show originally announced as on 7/19 is postponed to 8/9. I’m sorry for your inconvenience.
Due to this schedule change, originally booked artists: Melissa Cruz and Jesse Torre won’t be available on that day, instead we’ll have:
Cante: Roberto Zamora – Beloved Bay Area flamenco singer and tradition bearer whose artistry has inspired generations of performers and audiences
Guitarra: Keni El Lebrijano – Acclaimed flamenco guitarist legendary recognized as who accompanied the golden era of Familia Farrucos and Fernanda y Bernanda de Utrera
Cante: Pirouz de Caspio – Dynamic flamenco singer known for his expressive artistry, commanding stage presence, and multifaceted voval AND guitarra skills
Baile: Bianca Rodriguez - Used to be Bay Area's popular busy dancer, now resides in Texas, on her rare return to SF, don't miss her graceful beauty and soniquete con gracia
Artistic Dirrection & Baile: Mizuho Sato – Internationally recognized flamenco dancer, choreographer, and artistic director, celebrated for her powerful blend of traditional and original
2:30 Open
3:00 Show starts
4:00 Juerga starts
6:00 Juerga ends
6:30 Close & Follow Keni to La Marcha in Berkeley
Also, this event will be:
-BYOB = Bring Your Own Beverage (Where else can you do that nowadays...?)
-FLAMENCO MUSICIANS & SINGERS enter free (Please RSVP your seat from ticket page)
Since we lost Thirsty Bear in San Francisco, we needed some place to get together for live music and share our stories with community, I’m super excited about this. Please help spreading the words.
I strongly recommend you to stay after the show to most exciting improv flamenco jam session called "JUERGA" to learn palmas (hand clapping), jaléos (cheering shouts like Olé), and some pataitas (improv moves) directly from the artists and musicians like they used to do back in the day in Andalucía. THE BEST CLASS to learn flamenco.
Again, flamenco musicians & singers enter FREE. Please RSVP your seats for your chair.
Thank you so much for your support and so looking forward to seeing & jamming with you there!
