Domestic Violence Awareness: A Community Event
This awareness-focused community gathering is designed to educate, build empathy, and foster meaningful support and community for those impacted by domestic violence. We’ll shed light on both the impacts of domestic violence and the prevalence of subtle, often overlooked forms of abuse that attendees may recognize in their own circles.
Core Programming:
The centerpiece of this event will be the “In Her Shoes” Simulation, facilitated by Dove, Inc., where participants walk through stories and everyday settings. This powerful experience is designed to:

💜Build empathy through lived stories
💜Clarify the impact of families, institutions, and communities
💜Inspire reflection on how each of us can contribute to a culture of safety and support
This experience will be followed by a lighter networking portion with refreshments and space to share local offerings and connect.
