Dom Howard & Scottie Thompson

Hot Numbers welcomes guitarist Dom Howard and pianist Scottie Thompson, they have been playing together frequently developing a strong duo sound. Dom is presenting a varied programme of original compositions written for the duo, as well as arrangements spanning a wide range of his favourite music. The duo create compositions and that are distinctive, drawing the listener into sonic worlds, journeying through compositions and improvisations that draw on jazz and improvised music, post Rock/prog Metal, 20th century classical and folk music.

Dom is currently is a frequent collaborator with Immy Churchill, Ashkan Layegh and wide range of other artists. He also leads multiple groups, performing his compositions from chapels and churches to jazz clubs in London and elsewhere. Scottie has performed in a variety of styles at major venues across the UK, including Ronnie Scott’s, Vortex, Jazz Cafe and at the London Jazz Festival and has won multiple composition awards, with some of his arrangements having been played on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM in recent years.
