Join us at Hotel Hartness for an unforgettable evening with Dr. Dom Flemons, GRAMMY Award winner, four-time GRAMMY nominee, and recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Northern Arizona University. Known worldwide as "The American Songster," Flemons brings over a century of American roots music to the stage, weaving together country, folk, bluegrass, Americana, and blues into a performance unlike any other.

A master of the banjo, guitar, harmonica, jug, quills, fife, and rhythm bones, Flemons is far more than a musician. He is a songwriter, historian, actor, narrator, host, slam poet, and record collector, as well as host and producer of the American Songster Radio Show on WSM in Nashville. His artistry has earned him two Emmy nominations, the International Acoustic Music Award Grand Prize, and a United States Artists Fellowship.
Flemons co-founded the GRAMMY-winning Carolina Chocolate Drops and later launched American Songster Productions. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Steve Martin Banjo Prize, Folk Alliance International, and Music Maker Relief Foundation, and was elected Governor of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Recording Academy.
