Dogwood and Thistle Wine Dinner at Toast Winterfield Place

Owned by husband and wife team Sandy and Erin Robertson, Dogwood & Thistle Wine started as a passion project but has led to so much more. With Sandy having the winemaking expertise, having honed his craft for fifteen years, and Erin being a seasoned wine sales and marketing pro, Dogwood & Thistle wines is an amalgamation of both their individuals talents, resulting in incredibly unique expressions for all to enjoy.

Our Culinary Team led by Chef Justin has brought in four of their finest varietals and developed the below amazing pairings that perfectly compliment each wines unque personlity and flavor profile.

The evening starts promptly at 6:30pm and will be held in the Sidecar Cocktail Lounge Space

Upon arriving, guests will receive a glass of California Sparkling

Course 1

Dish: Lobster Raviolo- filled with lobster mousse and egg yolk in a lobster brown butter

Wine: Petit Manseng

Course 2

Dish: Roasted Quail -herb and lemon couscous and a charred scallion and mustard relish

Wine: Riesling

Course 3

Dish: Lamb Chops - Coffee rubbed, white bean puree and sour cherry gastrique

Wine: Cabernet Franc

Course 4

Dish: Filet Mignon - creamed leeks and roasted fingerlings with a beef demi-glace

Wine: Carignan

With a strong connection to Virginia, the couple lives in Charlottesville and split their time between here and California. We are super lucky to have Sandy and Erin co-host the dinner with us. It will make for an unforgetable night!
