Dog Cove & Lost Creek Falls Hike

Enjoy the early spring air and beautiful sights during an easy round-trip three-mile hike at Dog Cove. Walk along the creek, pass by huge sandstone boulders, and experience the historic Jimmy Davis Homesite with beautiful, original two-story sandstone chimneys built by the Van Winkle family in the late 19th century.

Following the hike at Dog Cove, we will return to vehicles and caravan four miles to Lost Creek Falls State Natural Area for a ¼ mile hike to the fantastic Lost Creek Cave Springs, Lost Creek Falls, and the massive entrance to Lost Creek Cave that was in Disney’s live-action version of Jungle Book.

This activity is of easy to moderate difficulty. Please dress appropriately for the weather, and wear sturdy walking or hiking shoes. Bring plenty of water and snacks for the day!
