🎬 Khartoum - Documentary Screening & Panel Discussion on the current crisis in Sudan
📍 Studenterhuset, Copenhagen
🗓️ January 29th | 18:45–21:00
In collaboration with the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association Denmark, Snabslanten, UNYA Copenhagen’s Working Group on SDG 16 invites you to a screening of the award-winning documentary Khartoum (2025).
Khartoum shares powerful, human stories from Sudan’s capital through five characters: two young bottle collectors, a tea seller, a civil servant, and a Resistance Committees volunteer, revealing resilience and everyday life beyond the news.
Screening followed by a panel discussion with Oscar Rothstein, award-winning journalist specializing in Africa, and Nils Carstensen, Senior Advisor at DanChurchAid, offering personal and professional insights into the ongoing crisis in Sudan.
We hope you will leave the event with a deeper understanding of one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises—and why it so often goes overlooked.
